    Building Height References

    How tall is 75 feet that's proposed at Royal Crest? For reference here is China Blossom which is 1.5 stories, the unfinished building in the background is two stories and a four story 54.8 building at the former Knights / Sutton Street in the front. The hotel will be 75 feet, 20 feet taller, the an over 30% increase. This was a quiet time but can you imagine 10 years of construction noise? That is two generations of Franklin students.

    Jeff Doggett, speaking as a resident and Merrimack College [Vice President, CFO, COO]. Merrimack College saying the quiet part out loud and backing up that they use services and do not contribute. He KNEW they had an AGREEMENT to purchase the neighboring property, he knows the North Andover Police responds to hundreds of calls every year and they think paying their water bill is enough. MC doesn't pay property taxes or a PILOT anymore, they let residents subsidize their college and we provide many services for free. They don't think the North Andover Police Department does much for them, though many in town would disagree with that assessment on their part. But what about fire and ambulances? They point out they pay their water and sewer bills, which they are obligated to do. Did they want us to subsidize that for them too? "We do pay a lot for this town….. "The institution does actually pay for water and sewer" " It has its own police force for its own campus and the properties it owns and while we do appreciate the great work of the North Andover police department especially as it relates to what goes on at Royal Crest currently um you know that their primary responsibilities are not always to the campus itself and we greatly appreciate partnering with them um so i just wanted to set that first."
